WHAT IS OUREACH USA?

In the efforts to broaden the field for evangelism Justin Todd Herod and Backroads Ministries felt the need to establish a new ministry this year. In the day in which we live there is NO GREATER need than the need to minister to the men, women and families of our MILITARY BASES across the USA. Burdened with a desire to reach the Military families across our great land, Backroads Ministries has launched a ministry called "Outreach USA". Here's how it all began. As we began to feel a strong burden for the families and soldiers of the military bases, God began opening many doors. In August of 2004 Justin held the very first outreach on the "Top Gun" Naval Air base in Fallon Nevada. The concert/outreach was held in the base's movie theater. Several seamen and their families attended. Needless to say it was a huge success! Praise God!! Several accepted Jesus as savior, and many more recommitted their lives. The second outreach was held at an outdoor recreation park at the same base, with equal success. The Chaplain was very excited and began to make recommendations to other Military chaplains. Immediately doors began to open, and we felt the need to begin a ministry...Outreach USA.

The vision of Outreach USA is to go into every Army, Marine, Naval, and Air Force base in the United States of America, and eventually the world. You may ask, what will make this different from a normal music concert event like the USO or others?. OutreachUSA has a unique vision to provide a QUALITY Christian Country concert that will attract people on base that will come for the " entertainment", but will in turn not only hear quality music, but a CLEAR presentation of the Gospel Message. Outreach USA will work in conjunction with military chaplains to thoroughly promote these events strategically (posters, radio, t.v. announcements etc.) to reach the "un-churched" soldiers and families as well as strengthening the ones who may already have a relationship with God. We will provide a premium sound system with quality music and production to ensure that the people are getting the very best, just like a USO or similar program, the main difference is, the Gospel will be proclaimed throughout the event as the songs are sung, as the jokes are told, and as each soldier, seamen, marine, or airman is ministered to, along with their families. Music CDs and literature will be available, and discipleship plans will be in place with chaplains. The best part, however, is it's FREE.

Outreach USA is a non profit organization that exist and is supported by the donations of partners across the USA. People that have a heart to reach the nations military like we do. The contributions made to Outreach USA are tax-deductible, and all go to the financing of each outreach. All that we ask the Military Base for is lodging and meals (when available). The rest is at no cost to them. Many people can not go a base in person, but can go by way of their prayer and financial support. Would you like to go? As an Outreach USA "soldier" you will receive:
